They don’t always have the technology, marketing budgets or online reach of national chains, but they’re an important part of the communities they serve.

NunnyEatz gives local businesses another way to reach local customers while giving customers a convenient way to discover what’s available around them.

Our aim is simple:

Make buying local easier.

The clue is in the name.

NunnyEatz is starting here in Nuneaton.

We’re building the marketplace locally, working with businesses in the area and developing it around what local customers and Merchants actually need.

We want to create something that feels genuinely connected to the town rather than simply dropping another national marketplace into it.

As NunnyEatz grows, so will the number and variety of businesses you’ll be able to discover.

Great. Finding something good to eat should be one of the things NunnyEatz does really well.

But local commerce doesn’t stop when dinner is finished.

NunnyEatz is being built for three broad types of local business:

Food & Takeaways

Discover local restaurants and takeaways, browse menus and order food for delivery or collection where available.

Retail & Shops

Discover products from local retailers, with options such as local delivery, collection or parcel shipping depending on the individual business.

Local Services

Discover service businesses operating in and around the local area as service features are introduced to the marketplace.

Businesses available through NunnyEatz remain independent.

They decide what they sell, what they charge and how they operate their businesses.

For restaurants and takeaways, that includes their menu prices and delivery charges.

For retailers, it includes their products, prices and available fulfilment options.

For service providers, it includes the services they choose to offer.

NunnyEatz provides the technology and marketplace connecting those businesses with their customers.

We think this should be straightforward.

Each Merchant decides whether to charge for delivery and how much that charge should be.

NunnyEatz does not set or prescribe a Merchant’s delivery charge.

When a customer pays a delivery charge through NunnyEatz:

100% of that customer delivery charge is allocated to the Merchant.

NunnyEatz does not take commission from the delivery charge paid by the customer.

The Merchant is responsible for arranging and funding its delivery service.

NunnyEatz isn’t just a customer-facing marketplace.

We’re building technology that can help participating businesses manage different parts of selling locally online.

Depending on the type of business and services available, that can include things such as:

• online ordering;
• product and menu management;
• payments;
• order management;
• delivery options;
• collection;
• customer communication; and
• other tools as the platform develops.

The goal isn’t technology for technology’s sake.

It’s to make useful technology accessible to local businesses.

Payments made through NunnyEatz are processed through TrivantaPay using Stripe payment infrastructure.

Our aim is to make paying through NunnyEatz straightforward and secure while providing participating Merchants with the payment infrastructure needed to trade through the marketplace.

As NunnyEatz develops, you’ll also meet Ziggy, our support and marketplace assistant.

Ziggy is being designed to make using NunnyEatz easier.

You might ask her:

• “Who’s doing pizza near me?”
• “Find me a curry near CV11.”
• “Which places offer collection?”
• “Can you help with my order?”
• “Where can I find this locally?”

Ziggy will use information available through NunnyEatz to help customers find businesses and navigate the marketplace.

She’ll also be able to help collect information when something goes wrong and make sure enquiries reach the appropriate Merchant or NunnyEatz team.

Ziggy is an automated assistant, and she doesn’t make final decisions about disputed refunds or compensation.

Found somewhere you think a friend would love?

ReferZ makes it easy to recommend restaurants, takeaways, shops and service providers on NunnyEatz to people you know.

Public business pages show anonymous ReferZ and optional compliment totals. They never identify the customers behind those totals.

Customers can connect privately using a one-use QR code or private sharing link. There is no public people search and NunnyEatz does not upload your contacts.

Discover local. Love it. ReferZ it.

We want to reward customers for supporting businesses through NunnyEatz too.

Z Points is the NunnyEatz customer rewards programme.

Eligible customers earn points on qualifying goods after an order is successfully completed and can use available points for eligible Z Rewards.

Delivery charges and the NunnyEatz service fee do not earn points and remain payable when a reward is used. Full conditions are in the Customer Terms.

Buying locally shouldn’t require searching through dozens of websites, social media pages and phone numbers.

That’s one of the problems we’re trying to solve.

We want the convenience people expect from a modern online marketplace while keeping local businesses at the centre of it.
