Customer safety
Every NunnyEatz driver is checked before delivering
Before a driver is approved for customer deliveries, NunnyEatz verifies identity/account details, right to work, driving-licence status and requires a Basic DBS check. We review any information fairly and proportionately for the delivery role; a disclosed conviction does not automatically mean an application is rejected.
We record only the information reasonably needed to evidence and manage these checks and do not routinely retain a copy of the DBS certificate. Read how driver checks and criminal-offence data are handled in our Privacy Policy.
How our shifts work
When you are on shift, you are driving for NunnyEatz
Our standard driver shift is four paid hours. There is no scheduled paid rest break in the normal four-hour shift, although reasonable toilet/welfare needs, emergencies and safety-related stops are always treated sensibly. Paid NunnyEatz shifts are exclusive working time: you cannot accept or carry out deliveries for Just Eat, Uber Eats, Deliveroo or another business while clocked on, and NunnyEatz vehicles, fuel and equipment must never be used for third-party work.
Company vehicles are business-use only. At the end of every shift the vehicle must be returned to the designated NunnyEatz base and the keys/equipment handed back. Drivers do not take NunnyEatz vehicles home or use them privately.
While on shift, delivery jobs assigned by NunnyEatz Dispatch are work instructions, not optional offers. Drivers are paid to collect assigned orders and deliver them to customers and must promptly acknowledge and carry out reasonable lawful dispatch instructions. If there is a genuine safety, legal, vehicle, emergency or technical reason a job cannot be carried out, the driver must report it to Dispatch immediately.
Required on-shift app location and company-vehicle tracking/telematics must remain active. Deliberately disabling, blocking, spoofing or trying to disguise location or vehicle activity may be treated as gross misconduct after a fair disciplinary process. Accidental signal or device faults are different — report them to Dispatch. Full Driver Conduct and Monitoring policies are issued through the People portal if you join us.
